A standoff is a spacer that is used to provide clearance between two objects. Round standoffs are a type of standoff that has a round head and a threaded shank. Male standoffs have a threaded end that is designed to be screwed into a threaded hole. Female standoffs have a threaded hole that is designed to accept a threaded bolt. M-F standoffs are standoffs that have both a male and female threaded end.
