Female-female standoffs are used to separate, position or connect components in an assembly. Originally designed for spacing and stacking circuit boards, standoffs are now available in a wide variety of materials, platings, threads, and length combinations for different applications. Material options include:

  • Aluminum
  • Brass
  • Nylon
  • Stainless Steel
  • Steel

The hex shape allows for greater torquing as the flat sides allow for wrench tightening. Brass is corrosion resistant, nonmagnetic, and easily machinable. Base metal is yellow, but many plating options are available when different colors are required.
