Round rivet nuts are used for establishing threaded inserts in thin sheet materials. These rivet nuts possess a round body with a threaded insert. Once the body is slotted into a hole in the material, it's expanded using a dedicated rivet nut tool. This action causes the rivet nut's body to enlarge, forming a durable and permanent bond.
